Trials are designed by the Lord to test our faith, humility, submission, and values. We can either waste our difficulties by defiantly resisting God or benefit by trusting in and depending on Him. The first way leads only to suffering, but the second option results in spiritual maturity and eternal rewards.
How does trusting God through trials become victorious?
- Be Reconciled to God. According to the Bible, your first step in overcoming temptation is to turn to Him in repentance and faith.
- Meditate on God's Word.
- Worship the Lord.
- Deny Ungodliness and Cultivate Godliness.
- Avoid Tempting Situations. Cast down negative tempting thoughts 2 Cor. 10:5
- Be Transparent to God and Others.
