Satan Wants you stuck in Unforgiveness

Satan Wants You Stuck in The Past

Dangers of Unforgiveness in the Bible

Learn the symptoms of unforgiveness and how they separate you from the Love of Christ. You will also learn what God says about the Forgiveness of others. We will also explore the importance of forgiveness.

Watch a video of the importance of forgiveness.

Satan wants you stuck in the land of remembrance that continues to stir up pain, hurt, fear, and a stronghold of unforgiveness. The more we replay, the more the stronghold is formed, making it harder to let go.

He wants you to replay what everyone has done to you. Yes, people can break your heart. The pain is real. That emotional pain can cause real physical pain that is demonic.

Satan is the king of the past in the land of garbage to get you to replay (roll in the garbage) to feel all the pain of the hurt of what others have done. I call it self-pity, the super glue that holds you to the hell of your past. You cannot move forward when looking backward.

Jesus is the king of the present and future. Jesus was for you to live now with peace and joy, moving into the future with hope, becoming more like Him as we die to ourselves, and living in victory and blessings.

The land of the garbage is the land of negative emotions, hurts, and pain. He does not want you to forgive or have a future. He wants you in bondage (either with physical sickness, mental diseases, or emotional pain). Satan wants you stuck.

Jesus wants us to let go, forgive others, and experience freedom from pain and hurt but have unspeakable you.

1 Peter 1:7-9 King James Version (KJV)

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it is tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

When we forgive and let go, Jesus can start the process of healing emotionally, spiritually, and physically because he loves you so much and so deep and wide. Unforgiveness is a block to healing.
Ephesians 3:18: "May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;"
How do you forgive when it hurts so very much?
First, we need to see people as people. People, like ourselves have been hurt and hurt people hurt people.
A question? Do you have high expectations of people to meet a need in your life? I know I used to. That will set you up to continually get hurt and broken with a broken, wounded spirit. Jesus is the only one who can truly meet that need. So, let go of those high expectations. Learn to enjoy people.
Steps:
1) forgive them.
2) Give them over to the Lord
3) Stop replaying old memories of the hurts and pain they inflicted on you.
4) pray for them.

What pray for them? Yes. God's word says

Matthew 5:44 King James Version (KJV)

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Why? When you pray, it changes your heart and keeps the bitterness out. So, when I feel like replaying a bad memory, I make another choice to pray for them instead.
5) Also, when they come to mid, cast sit down. Tell the enemy you have already forgiven them.

2 Corinthians 10:5 King James Version (KJV)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Cast down bitterness. Whatever emotion you feel when they come to mind. It may be feelings of rejection, abandonment, sadness, hurt, cast it down.
Say, I can you down rejection! Use God's word as an antidote!

Then say, God will never reject me according to Romans 11:1-12

get rid of bitterness,

God Will Never Reject You - Romans 11:1-12

Did you know that your Father in Heaven will never reject you?

God loves us because he chooses to love us despite our failures. He loved us while we were sinners (Romans 5:8) and will never stop loving us.

When a breach (unforgiveness) towards others, self, or god, hurt stays alive, and fear enters your heart.

The whole gospel of Jesus Christ is based on this.

Matthew 22:37-40 King James Version (KJV)

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Let's be doers of God's Word.

Three Steps to Let Go of Regret:

  1. Admit your weaknesses, failures, and mistakes.
Each time you fall short of perfection, the enemy will try to convince you that you’re in trouble with God. But the truth is, your sins are covered in Christ…and God loves you no matter what!
Rather than running from God in fear or retreating in shame, lean into the God who loves you. Talk to Him openly about your weaknesses, failures, and mistakes.
    God’s Word says:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
  2. Repent of any wrongdoing.
Repentance means you’re sincerely sorry and want to change your lifestyle. If you’re not ready to repent, ask God to help you. If you are ready to repent, set your mind to do the right thing next time.
You may need to accept the consequences of your actions, but you don’t have to spend another minute in regret!
    God’s Word says:
Repent, therefore, and turn back that your sins may be blotted out. Acts 3:19
  3. Trust God to work it out for your good!
God is good; no matter what happens, He can make everything work out for your good! Rather than complaining about your situation or choosing a negative outlook, honor God by adopting an attitude of faith.
Pray a prayer of thanks: God, when I let go and give You control, good things happen in my life. Thank You for loving me enough to make all things—even the messes I’ve made for myself—work out for my benefit. I pray that you will receive the glory as I grow stronger spiritually. Amen.
